Helen Crabtree TOP Award Nomination

We had an exciting morning yesterday at Kingfisher as we were joined by Helen Crabtree who is the Trust Chair of Kingfisher Learning Trust.

Helen has been nominated for this year’s TOP awards under the Volunteer of the Year category. This is for Helen’s work as Trust Chair, stepping in courageously when Kevin Fennelly suddenly passed away in 2016. Helen takes her role extremely seriously, selflessly giving hours of her time to ensure she has the skills and knowledge to carry out our role. This includes attending training events, reading, researching and visiting others. Without Helen’s time and commitment, the Trust would not be in the strong position that it is in today.

Helen has been shortlisted as one of the top 3 in her category and will attend an awards ceremony in December. Yesterday morning, Helen was filmed in school with the children and this short film will be shown at the awards ceremony.

Watch this space and we will let you know how Helen gets on at the ceremony where her commitment and dedication to Kingfisher will be recognised.
