British Science Week is a National event where business sponsors encourage schools to promote science activities and experiments over the course of a specific week in March. Kingfisher did just that and it went with a bang! As part of our Science curriculum we planned for a range of experiments and activities that the children experienced and took part in; the children (and staff) loved it!
Our children enaged in a variety of experiments and activities from racing balloons to mixing diet pepsi with mentos to create a small explosion, to meeting unfamiliar animals like Ozzy the Owl from ‘Animal Takeover’. The children were engaged and thrilled with the activities either by getting their sleeves rolled up and having a go themselves or just be observing and experiencing the senses and spectacles!
